The Private Culinary Class

Master the Art of
Great Cooking.

Intimately. Intensely. Beautifully.

A rare, studio-style culinary experience where no more than four students share the kitchen with a world-class instructor. Not a school. Not a course catalogue. A private class — designed to transform how you cook, permanently.

Why Four Students
and Not Forty

"Great cooking cannot be taught in a crowd. It has to be lived, corrected, tasted — side by side."

Rachael's Culinary Arts Private Class is not a culinary school. We accept no more than four students at a time, deliberately. This is a non-negotiable commitment — because every student deserves to have their hands corrected, their seasoning questioned, their plating personally reviewed by the instructor. That is impossible in a class of twenty.

Our classes are intense, focused, and built for beginners who are serious. You do not need experience. You need hunger — the real kind. We handle everything else. By the end of your programme, you will have cooked dozens of dishes from scratch, received direct one-on-one feedback, and earned a certificate under the name of one of Nigeria's most respected culinary institutions.

Maximum Four Students
Every student receives individual attention. No one gets lost in the noise.
Beginner-Friendly, Intensely Rigorous
No prior experience required. But we do not hold back. You will be challenged.
Certificate Upon Completion
Every graduate earns a recognised Rachael's Culinary Arts certificate.
Entirely Hands-On
No death by PowerPoint. Every class is active, tactile, and live.
4
The Four-Student Rule
Every programme — without exception — runs with a maximum of four participants. This is how we guarantee that our instructor's attention is never divided. Your knife technique, seasoning instinct, and plating finesse receive direct, personal correction. Every single session.
0
Zero Prior Experience Required
Our programmes are designed as starter packs. We assume nothing. We begin at the beginning — knife skills, heat management, stock foundations — and build upward with intention. The only requirement is a genuine desire to learn how to cook extraordinarily well.
100%
Live Kitchen, Every Day
You will be cooking from the first hour of the first session. Our kitchen is professional-grade. Our ingredients are fresh. Every dish you prepare is tasted, critiqued, and rebuilt if necessary. We do not teach theory. We build muscle memory.

Programme 03

Pastry Culinary Arts

The most artisan of our three programmes — and perhaps the most rewarding. This course covers both French and Nigerian pastry traditions side by side, giving students a unique dual vocabulary: the precision and elegance of classical French patisserie, and the distinctly West African flavour of Nigerian pastry making. A beginner-level course that produces results far beyond what beginners usually achieve.

You will make croissants, tarts, choux pastry, and mousse from scratch. You will also work with Nigerian pastry traditions — from chin-chin and buns to native sweet breads, puff pastry interpretations, and indigenous flavour-infused desserts. By the end of five weeks, your pastry table will speak two languages fluently.

The Experience

What It Feels Like
to Be in Our Kitchen

"You will come in not knowing what you are doing. You will leave knowing exactly why you are doing it."

The day begins with prep — mise en place — the discipline of having everything in its place before a single burner is lit. Your instructor demonstrates. You observe once. Then you do it. You are corrected immediately, with clarity and warmth. You do it again. And again, until your hands remember without your mind having to think.

The four-student structure means no one is waiting for the stove. No one is watching from the back of the room. You are in it from minute one. Your classmates are cooking alongside you — four curious, committed people building something real together in a private kitchen that functions at professional standard.

Everything You Need.
Nothing You Don't.

Your tuition covers all of this. The only thing you bring is yourself and the willingness to learn.

01
All Ingredients and Materials
Every ingredient used in every session is sourced and provided by us. Fresh, quality, professionally selected. You will never need to bring ingredients to class unless your instructor makes a special arrangement with you for a personal project dish.
02
Professional Kitchen Access
Our private studio kitchen is equipped with commercial-grade stoves, ovens, stand mixers, blenders, precision scales, mandolins, and the full range of tools a working professional chef uses daily. You will cook like a professional from day one.
03
Personalised Daily Instruction
With a maximum of four students per class, your instructor's attention is never diluted. Every technique, every mistake, every breakthrough is addressed in real time. You will receive personal feedback at every session — not group commentary, individual coaching.
04
Recipe Binder and Class Notes
Every dish you prepare is documented in a professionally compiled recipe binder, yours to keep. This is not a printout — it is a curated collection of every recipe, technique note, and instructor annotation from your entire programme. A reference book for life.
05
Food Safety and Hygiene Briefing
Every programme includes a structured introduction to food safety and kitchen hygiene — covering personal hygiene, safe storage, cross-contamination prevention, and kitchen sanitation. These are non-negotiable foundations for anyone who intends to cook for others.
06
Rachael's Culinary Arts Certificate
Upon successful completion of the programme, every student receives a Rachael's Culinary Arts certificate of completion. The certificate identifies the programme name, duration, and student name. It is a tangible recognition of a real achievement.
